Relaxed old railway station cafe with great food that keeps us coming back whenever we are staying in town. I had the gluten free granola - so good l bought a bag to take home & hubby had poached eggs on homemade thick hash brown.
Both were delicious!
The cafe location and atmosphere was really cool. Essentially you are on the platform which would be a fantastic experience for anyone who is obsessed with trains.
We ordered the fish tacos and the pulled beef sandwich with kimchi. The fish tacos were fantastic 5/5. The Pulled beef sandwich on the other hand was very dry. Would have loved some tomatoes, cheese or even more sauce? 3/5.

Came here for brunch and sat out on the platform. We ordered the Hash Brown Eggs Benedict & the Fish Tacos. The photos don't do them justice but the hash brown Benedict was amazing! I've never had beetroot hummus but it was incredibly refreshing. The hash brown was enormous. Very crispy on the outside but light on the inside. Eggs were perfectly cooked.
The fish tacos were very tasty.
The size of the food was huge & we had to take some home.
As good as any Melbourne cafe. Can't wait to go back and try some other options.
This is our second time here, as a stop over driving back from Thredbo to Melbourne. We love this place, it’s as good as any cafe in Melbourne, with fantastic food quality, great coffee and drinks and fabulously lovely staff. Very kid friendly as well!
Great place for brunch with a variety of options and decent cold brew coffee
Where to go on a quiet Monday for lunch, we thought we would give the Bean Station a go and boy are we glad we did. I'm sure all the meals on the menu are good but I had the Chicken Katsu bowl and it was outstanding. Go here just to try this meal.
We were positively surprised. The food was really good. Waiting time also wasn’t long, the breakfast juice of the day was also nice. Probably the best breakfast place in town.
Nice location, comfortable inside and good outdoor area for warmer days. Great menu and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff.
